Qingdao Zhu De's Villa is one of the most beautiful buildings in the Badaguan Scenic Area. It is named after Marshal Zhu De stayed here when he visited Qingdao twice. The scenic spot is located at Villa No. 1, Taipingjiao 1st Road. It was built in the 1930s and is a Spanish-style building. The building was originally the Jishantang Villa. It was later purchased by the German Consulate in Qingdao as the official residence of the consul. It is now purchased by a wealthy Taiwanese businessman and used as a private residence. Zhu De's villa has a large sloping roof, the upper exterior wall is made of exposed wooden roof trusses, and there is a stone chimney on the roof. Zhu De Villa is a three-story building. The first floor has an arched verandah made of granite stones, and the second floor has a large balcony for viewing.
