Scenic spot introduction:
There are more than 40 large and small caves in the Yundongyan Scenic Area in Zhangzhou, Fujian, and more than 200 calligraphy inscriptions of various styles in the past dynasties. It has always been known as "the first cave in southern Fujian" and "the second forest of steles in Fujian".Attractions distribution:
Yundongyan was named Heming Mountain because during the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty (AD 581-600), there was a man who raised cranes and practiced Taoism here. From time to time, the cranes croaked in the mountain, so it was named Heming Mountain. According to local chronicles, there is a stone room on the mountain, and when it is about to rain, white clouds appear. It floats out from the cave; the rain hits the sky, and the white clouds return to the cave, so it is also called "Yundong Rock".The main peak of Yundongyan Scenic Area is 280 meters above sea level and covers an area of 18.1 square kilometers. It is known as the "Four Beauties" with misty clouds and rain, majestic peaks and dangerous rocks, secluded caves in the mountains and cliff carvings. Zhu Xi, the acting scholar of the Song Dynasty, gave lectures here. Xu Jue from the Tang Dynasty, Cai Lie, Feng Xi, Zhou Ying, Lin Da, Lin Kui, the ancient writer Wang Shenzhong from the Ming Dynasty, Yang Daotai and Ma Fushu from the Qing Dynasty all left their mark here.
