Shandong Weishan Lake Wetland Red Lotus Tourist Scenic Area is the largest wetland resource protection area in Shandong Province. The scenic area is located in Binhu Town, Tengzhou City, in the northeast of Weishan Lake. It is backed by the Mengyi Mountains in the east, borders the vast Weishan Lake in the west, is connected to the prosperous land of northern Jiangsu in the south, and is adjacent to the hometown of Confucius and Mencius in the north. The thousand-year-old ancient canal flows through here. It can be said that the mountains and rivers are shining, the clear water and white sails, the red lotus and green reeds, and the gulls fly together. The scenery is charming and beautiful all year round. It is not only a place to experience the charm of water town, feel the wetland customs, and enjoy the ecological scenery, but also a tourist destination for people to relax and vacation.

The Shandong Weishan Lake Wetland Red Lotus Scenic Area has a total area of 90 square kilometers, with 55 kilometers of lakeshore, rich species resources, more than 100,000 mu of wild red lotus, dozens of square kilometers of reed marshes and rare domestic Water Forest It can be said to be one of the largest lake wetlands in northern my country with the most primitive natural ecology and the most beautiful landscape.
The Honghe Scenic Area in Weishan Lake Wetland, Shandong Province is also the birthplace and battlefield of the famous Railway Guerrillas. They fought against the Japanese invaders here during the Anti-Japanese War. During the War of Liberation, they successfully escorted Liu Shaoqi and Chen Yi to Yan'an to attend important party meetings. It can be said to be one of the important bases of the Chinese revolution.
Shandong Weishan Lake Wetland Red Lotus Scenic Area has been fully developed since 2001. The area includes Red Lotus Cultural Park, Wetland Recreation Park, Leisure Resort, Wetland Adventure Park, Water Entertainment Park, Panlong Island, Diaoyu Islands Wuliu Ferry is the place where Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yi, Zhu Rui and other older generation revolutionaries boarded the boat to cross the lake during the Anti-Japanese War. There are also mid- to high-end resorts, leisure fishing parks and other leisure and entertainment venues. How to get there:

Self-driving: Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway → Tengzhou South and North Exits → Tengzhou West Outer Ring Road West Roundabout → Turn northwest to Ji-Zao Highway → Turn left at the west of Dawu Town → West end of Binhu Town → Turn right into Jiwei Road → Turn left after about four kilometers to reach the scenic area. It takes about 30 minutes after getting off the expressway.

Getting there: There are luxury express buses from Tengzhou West Bus Station that go directly to the scenic area. The first bus leaves at 6:00 a.m. and the last bus leaves at 6:00 p.m., with one bus every 15 minutes.
