Huizhou West Lake is dominated by mountains and water resources. In ancient times, it had five lakes, six bridges and eight scenic spots. Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, called it "beautiful mountains and waters". Historically, it was called one of the three major west lakes in China together with Hangzhou West Lake and Yingzhou West Lake. It is an urban lake scenic spot that integrates natural and cultural landscapes.Attractions distribution:
Huizhou West Lake is located in the central area of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. The scenic area covers 3.2 square kilometers and the water area is 1.46 square kilometers. In ancient times, there were five lakes, six bridges and eight scenic spots. Su Dongpo, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, called it "beautiful mountains and rivers". Historically, it was collectively known as the three major west lakes in China together with Hangzhou West Lake and Yingzhou West Lake. It is an urban lake scenic spot with mountain and water resources as the main body, integrating natural and cultural landscapes.Huizhou West Lake was first built in the Five Dynasties (907-960 AD). It is said that this was originally an ancient river channel. After the river was changed, alluvial deposits formed five interconnected lakes, namely Fenghu, Pinghu, Ehu, Linghu and Nanhu, collectively known as West Lake, with a lake area of 3.2 square kilometers. In recent years, the surrounding Honghua Lake and Jinshan Lake scenic areas have been incorporated into the West Lake Scenic Area. The scenic area has expanded from 9 square kilometers to 19 square kilometers, and the protection area has expanded from 19.6 square kilometers to 52.5 square kilometers.

The entrance is free, and the charges for attractions in the park are as follows:
Pagoda Hill: 5 yuan/person;
Dongpo Garden: 10 yuan/person;
Diancuizhou-Fanghuazhou: 5 yuan/person;
Fengzhu Garden: 20 yuan/person.
Package ticket (Pagoda, Dongpo Garden, Diancuizhou): 20 yuan/person.
