Fengxiang East Lake was known as "Drinking Phoenix Pond" in ancient times, and it is known as "Sister Lake" to Hangzhou West Lake. It is located in Dongguan, Fengxiang County, Baoji. It is a typical northern historical garden that combines the essence of ancient buildings such as pavilions, valleys, buildings, pavilions, corridors and halls in one place. According to legend, in the first year of King Wen of Zhou Dynasty, the auspicious phoenix flew over Yong, and he drank water here, so it got its name. In the sixth year of Jiayou's reign (1061), Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty, Su Shi served as the magistrate of Fengxiang Prefecture and advocated dredging and expansion of the pond. He introduced water from Fenghuang Spring in the northwest of the city into the pond, planted lotus and willows, built pavilions and bridges, so that the lake could be irrigated. Fields are also available for recreation. Because the lake is in the east of the city, it was named "East Lake". The water and lotus in the lake blend together, the ancient willows sway on the lakeshore, there are many strange rocks, green bamboos, pavilions and pavilions, the layout is exquisite, the winding paths lead to secluded places, and the architecture is simple and elegant.
