The Yin Ruins refer to the ruins of the capital city in the late Shang Dynasty. In and around Xiaotun Village in Anyang, Henan today. From Pan Geng to Emperor Xin (Zhou) in the Shang Dynasty, the capital was established here for 273 years. It is the earliest capital city whose exact location can be determined in Chinese history. In 1899, inscriptions on oracle bones used for divination were discovered here. Since the archaeological excavation on October 13, 1928, we have successively discovered palaces, workshops, mausoleums and other relics, as well as a large number of production tools, daily utensils, ritual instruments and oracle bones, covering a total area of ​​more than 24 square kilometers.

Yin Ruins covers an area of ​​about 36 square kilometers and is roughly divided into palace area, royal tomb area, tomb area, handicraft workshop area and civilian residential area. The ancient Huan River flows slowly through Yindu, and the city layout is rigorous and reasonable. It is the first ancient capital site in Chinese history that has documented documents and has been confirmed by oracle bone inscriptions and archaeological excavations. Chronologically speaking, it ranks first among the eight ancient capitals in China, with a history of more than 3,300 years.
