On the same day, the Soviet Red Army dispatched three front armies to launch an all-out attack from the east, west, and north to the Japanese Kwantung Army stationed in Northeast China. In the autumn of 1945, after the liberation of Northeast China, in order to commemorate the martyrs of the Soviet Red Army who sacrificed their lives in the war against Japanese fascism, the Soviet army successively built memorial towers and monuments to the martyrs of the Soviet Red Army in many places in the Northeast to express their condolences.
