Scenic spot introduction:

Beitou Hot Spring Museum is an open place that combines Beitou's history and hot spring culture. Its predecessor was the prestigious Beitou Hot Spring Bathhouse. The bathhouse was built in 1913 and was the largest hot spring bathhouse in East Asia at that time. Hot spring baths , restaurants, entertainment rooms, rest rooms, etc. It can be said to be an extremely important representative building in the history of Beitou Hot Springs. In 1998, the hot spring bath was restored to the Beitou Hot Spring Museum, becoming another leisure and entertainment center for Taipei residents after work.

Beitou Hot Spring Museum covers an area of about 700 square meters and is a two-story Japanese-style wooden structure. The first floor of the museum is the Beitou Hot Spring Bath Exhibition Area. travelling guideline:

1. The museum has a limit on the number of visitors, with a maximum of 100 people. Visitors can reasonably avoid peak hours and avoid long queues.

2. When entering the museum for a visit, you need to change into the slippers prepared in advance.

3. Group visits (more than 25 people) must apply one week in advance and the museum will arrange a guided tour.

4. Before taking a hot spring bath, you should understand your own condition and choose suitable spring water. The spring temperature should not exceed 45°C.

How to get there:

Bus route: Take Bus No. 6, No. 7, No. 9, 216, 218, 219, 223, 230, or 266, get off at Xinbeitou, and walk along Zhongshan Road for about 15-20 minutes.

MRT route: Take the Beitou or Tamsui Line and get off at Beitou Station and transfer to the Xinbeitou train. After getting off at Xinbeitou Station, walk for 5 minutes and pass through Beitou Park to arrive.
