Introduction to the manuscript on the discovery of Hotolite: The person who discovered Hotolite was Mr. Kanamero Okamoto, a famous Japanese scholar. He had a strong interest in mineralogy since he was a child. During the Japanese occupation, he repeatedly traveled to various parts of the island to collect various mineral specimens. In 1905, Mr. Okamoto walked around the Beitou River to collect ore and took photos and records. After taking a photo, he placed the film on a rock in Beitou Creek. When he returned home, he found the film and the exposure. After sending the Beitou Creek Stone to Tokyo for analysis, it was confirmed that the stone contained "radium radioactivity." The unexpected discovery of Beitou Stone made Okamoto famous. The picture shows Mr. Okamoto’s handwritten manuscript on the discovery of Hotostone.
