Wuwei Confucian Temple is a group of majestic buildings imitating royal palaces. It was built in the fourth year of Zhengtong period of Ming Dynasty (1439 AD). The ancient buildings in the courtyard are well preserved, solemn and majestic, and large in scale. It is known as the "crown of the academy in Longyou" and is the place where literati and poets of all dynasties worship Confucius.

Wuwei Confucian Temple is located in the southeast corner of Wuwei City. In the past, it was a place where scholars and poets of all dynasties worshipped Confucius. The building complex faces north and south, with a total area of 1,500 square meters. It consists of three groups of buildings in the east, middle and west: the east is Wenchang Palace, the middle is Confucian Temple, and the west is Liangzhou Prefecture Confucianism. The existing buildings are the Holy Temple and Wenchang Palace well-preserved.
The Wuwei Confucian Temple is now the Wuwei City Museum, which houses 44,000 cultural relics, including 2 national treasures, 170 first-class cultural relics, 278 second-class cultural relics, and 594 third-class cultural relics. It is the second largest historical museum in Gansu Province.
