The site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China is the birthplace of the Communist Party of China. The site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was originally the residence of Li Shucheng, the brother of Li Hanjun, a Shanghai representative who attended the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was established in 1952. It was initially named the First Museum of Shanghai Revolutionary History Memorial Hall and was under the leadership of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture. It was renamed in 1968. In March 1984, Deng Xiaoping, the leader of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, wrote the name of the memorial hall. The museum has a collection of more than 38,000 cultural relics, including 128 first-class cultural relics. It has received more than 10 million domestic and foreign visitors. It is now a national patriotism education demonstration base and a national key cultural relic protection unit.

The site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China is two two-story Shikumen buildings with a brick and wood structure. It was built in the summer and autumn of the 9th year of the Republic of China (1920) and is part of Shudeli, Beile Road (now Lane 374, Huangpi South Road). The exterior wall is made of alternating blue and red bricks and inlaid with white powder lines. The lintel has alum red carvings, the black lacquered door is equipped with a copper ring, and the door frame is surrounded by beige stone strips. One building is the home of Li Hanjun, a representative of the First Congress, and the other is the residence of a representative of the First Congress in Shanghai - Wenbo Girls' School. The site of the First Congress was the original site where the 13 representatives of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China met, that is, No. 76 Xingye Road. The Memorial Hall of the Site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China is located on the west side of the former site. In 1996, the Memorial Hall of the Site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China was expanded. The new building covers an area of 715 square meters and a construction area of 2,316 square meters. The first floor is for audience service facilities, with hall , Multifunctional Academic Lecture Hall , Temporary Exhibition Hall and Souvenir Service Department The second floor is Exhibition of Historical Relics from the Founding of the Communist Party of China Exhibition Hall. Since its establishment, the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China has collected more than 38,000 cultural relics, including 128 first-class cultural relics, and has received more than 10 million visitors from home and abroad. In June 1997, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee announced that the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was a national patriotic education demonstration base.
