Jidu Beihai Temple in Jiyuan is the only most complete and largest historical and cultural heritage preserved in ancient Sidu and the largest existing ancient building complex in Henan Province. It is known as the "museum" of ancient architecture in the Central Plains. Jidu Temple is located in Miaojie Village, 2 kilometers northwest of Jiyuan City, at the east source of Jishui. It has simple and elegant gardens and large-scale buildings. It was an ancient place for worshiping the Yellow River and one of the scenic spots in Jiyuan.

In ancient times, Jishui flowed into the sea alone, so it was called the "Four Rivers" together with the Yangtze River, Yellow River and Huaihe River. In the second year of Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (AD 582), the imperial court built a temple to worship Jidu God, also known as Qingyuan Temple. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the temple was expanded to 400 acres, covering an area of ​​more than 330,000 square meters. Until the end of the Qing Dynasty, the sacrifices continued and the temple remained beautiful. Jidu Temple faces north and faces south. The overall area layout is in the shape of "A", with a total area of ​​86,255 square meters. There are 72 existing ancient buildings, covering an area of ​​more than 100,000 square meters. The main buildings are arranged on three longitudinal axes. In front of it is Jidu Temple. , followed by Beihai Temple, Yuxiang Courtyard in the east, and Tianqing Palace in the west. On the central axis, there are Qingyuan Dongfu Gate (Mountain Gate), Qingyuan Gate, Yuande Gate, Bedroom and Linyuan Gate, Longting, Lingping Gate, etc. Yuan Pavilion, etc.; on both sides are Yuxiang Hall, Jieguan Tower, Jade Emperor Hall and Changsheng Pavilion.
