Scenic spot introduction:

Nanhua Temple is one of the famous Buddhist temples in China. It is the birthplace of the "Nanzong Zen Method" promoted by Huineng, the Sixth Patriarch of Zen Buddhism, who wrote: "The Bodhi tree has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the first place, so where is the dust?" . The Sixth Patriarch Huineng founded Zen Buddhism here and it is the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism. Zen Buddhism is original to China and is a typical Chinese Buddhism.

Attractions distribution:

Nanhua Temple faces Caoxi River and is backed by Xiangling Mountains. It has beautiful peaks and lush ancient trees. The temple is built on the mountain, with the halls on the same central axis, with a strict structure and clear priorities. Entering from the main gate, there are Caoxi Gate, Free Life Pond, Baolin Gate, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, and Sixth Patriarch Hall. Behind the palace is Zhuoxi Spring, with water pine trees in front of the spring having a long history. The precious collections in Nanhua Temple include the statue of the Sixth Patriarch, the cassocks of Thousand Buddhas, the imperial edict of Wu Zetian, etc.
