Yuquan Temple is located at the foot of Tianjing Mountain in the north of Qinzhou District, Tianshui City. The ancient temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty and was originally called "Beishan Temple". It was renamed "Tianqing Temple" and "Yuquan Temple" in the Song Dynasty. It was destroyed at the end of the Song Dynasty and was expanded and rebuilt in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. At its peak, it had more than 90 buildings.The existing buildings of Yuquan Temple cover an area of more than 90,000 square meters, most of which were rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The buildings are close to the city walls, rising along the mountain, along the ravines, cliffs and terraces. The layout is distributed according to Taoist regulations. On the central axis running from north to south, there are seven magnificent buildings, including the Jade Emperor Hall, the Three Pure Ones Hall and the Archway. In the hills, mounds and valleys in the east, west and south, there are large-scale sacrificial shrines, temples, spring pavilions and stele corridors. The pavilions in the temple are high and low, steles are scattered all over the mountain, the forests are lush and the paths are deep and secluded. Visitors here will linger.
The ninth day of the first lunar month every year is the Yuquan Temple Fair, which the locals call "Chaoguan". It is early spring and people are idle, and the temple is bustling and lively, forming a joyous folk picture.

How to get there:
Yuquan Temple is located at the foot of Tianjing Mountain on the north side of Minxi Road, Qinzhou District, Tianshui. It is about a 30-minute walk from the first intersection on the east side of Fuxi Temple to the northernmost end and then east along the road. You can take bus No. 3 from the city center to get there.
