Nanputuo Temple is a famous ancient temple in Xiamen and the largest temple in southern Fujian in modern times. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, it is one of the Buddhist resorts in southern Fujian. The Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall and Dabei Hall in the temple are beautifully constructed and majestic. Each hall is dedicated to Maitreya and the Third Buddha.
