Scenic spot introduction:
Guangdong Danxia Mountain, Dinghu Mountain, Luofu Mountain and Xiqiao Mountain are collectively known as the four famous mountains in Guangdong. The Danxia landform in the scenic area is typically developed, with complete types and rich shapes. It is the largest and most beautiful scenic area and natural heritage site dominated by Danxia landform in Guangdong Province. It is the place where the world's "Danxia landform" was named and is known as the "China's Red Stone Park".Between 140 million and 70 million years ago, the Danxia Mountain area was a large inland basin. Affected by the Himalayan orogeny, the surrounding mountains rose strongly, and the basin received a large amount of debris deposition, forming a thick red stratum. Around 7000 years ago, the crust rose and gradually eroded. Since 6 million years ago, the basin has experienced several intermittent rises, an average of about 1 meter every 10,000 years. At the same time, the water cut and eroded, and the Danxia red layer was cut into a red mountain group, which is now the Danxia Mountain area.

1. When buying tickets at the ticket office, don't forget to ask the ticket seller for a free copy of Danxia sightseeing materials, which will be very helpful for visiting Danxia Mountain.
2. Danxiashan Natural Heritage Museum is located opposite the ticket office at the mountain entrance. You can enjoy the Danxiashan Heritage Site for free and learn how the landform was formed. There is also a detailed introduction to Danxiashan’s rich and diverse rare wild animals and plants, nationally protected animals and plants, and more than 1,200 Danxia landforms around the world (including more than 700 in China).
3. The best time to view Yangyuan Mountain, the world's first wonder, is in the morning, and the best location to view Yangyuan Mountain is at the foot of the mountain and at the Baiyangtai halfway up the mountain. After viewing Yangyuan Mountain, continue walking forward to see the wonders of Shaibu Rock and the Jade Blood Sword. The Sunset Pavilion is the best place to view the sunset. The suspended plank road can see the naturally formed Shuangxilinmen and Danxia Valley Peak Group.

How to get there:
There are Danxia tourist buses from Shaoguan Railway Station that go directly to the new gate of Danxia Mountain. There are also special buses in the scenic area that take you to the mountain climbing location for free.

The entrance fee to the scenic area (including the main area of Danxia Mountain and Yangyuan Mountain Scenic Area): 100 yuan per person on weekdays; 120 yuan per person on holidays.
Cableway fare during normal hours: one-way 40 yuan/person; round-trip 60 yuan/person;
Cableway Festival: one-way 45 yuan/person; round-trip 70 yuan/person;
