Scenic spot introduction:

The Suzhou Shengze Silkworm Ancestral Temple is a public temple dedicated to the ancestors of the silk industry. It is also the office of the Shengze Silk Industry Office and the Farmers' Association. The well-protected classical temple-style architecture of Xiancan Temple and silk culture are a rare treasure in our country.

Attractions distribution:

The ancient buildings in the temple have exquisite structural art. The theater building, the Silkworm Emperor's Hall, the Temple of Wealth, Yicui Bridge, Longmen Cave, and the Wujiang Silk Exhibition Hall all present the cultural history of the old days. It is also the only remaining Silkworm God's Temple in the country.

How to get there:

Self-driving route: Starting from Suzhou, take the South Ring Road Elevated → Changtai Expressway, then exit from Shengze/Taoyuan/S227, turn right towards Pingwang/Wujiang; drive along S227, pass Xifengtou and turn left towards Shengze Turn; take Shengze Avenue → Dongfang Middle Road → Wulong Road to reach it.

By bus: Take a bus bound for Wujiang at Suzhou North Bus Station to Shengze. After getting off, you can transfer to local transportation.
