Scenic spot introduction:

Yakushi-ji Temple is one of the headquarters of the Japanese Hoshu Sect and one of the seven major temples in Nandu. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage in 1998. This temple was built by Emperor Tenmu in the late 7th century for the early recovery of his sick wife. It is one of the oldest temples in Japan and is located in Nishinokyo Town, Nara City, Nara Prefecture, Japan.

The layout of Japanese Yakushi Temple is relatively strict and similar to the Chinese symmetrical layout. The main hall and lecture hall are located on the central axis, with two pagodas on both sides. On both sides are the Jintang, Dongyuan Hall, Xuanzang Sanzoin Garan, Zhongmen, and Xiugang Hachiman. The building of the shrine, and other major events include the Bon Festival, the Tianjiang Lecture, Xuanzang Tripitaka Society, etc.

How to get there:

Tram stops: JR, Kintetsu Nara Station, Kintetsu Saikyo Station

Bus: Take the Rokujoyama bus and get off at Yakushiji Station or exit from Kintetsu Saikyo Station.

Parking lot fees: 2,200 yen for large buses, 2,000 yen for small buses, 500 yen for regular cars, and 100 yen for two-wheeled vehicles.
