Nankai University is a key university in the national "211 Project" and "985 Project", and is the alma mater of the beloved Premier Zhou. Founded in 1919, the founders are Zhang Boling and Yan Xiu, two famous patriotic educators in modern times. During the Anti-Japanese War, Nankai University, Peking University and Tsinghua University formed the world-famous Southwest United University in Kunming, which was known as the "North Star of Universities".
