Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia and the largest city in the country. It is located in the delta area between the Mekong River and Tonle Sap Lake. The urban area is rectangular and is divided into two parts: the old city and the new city. Lush boulevards, colonial buildings and monks wearing orange-red robes are the highlights of Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh is centered around the Royal Palace and Premolokot Pagoda. The Imperial City in the east includes buildings such as the Royal Palace, the Royal Museum, the Royal Garden and the National Museum. The western part of Phnom Penh is a new area, with modern buildings, wide boulevards and numerous parks, lawns, etc. The parks have luxuriant flowers and grass and fresh air, making them a good place for people to rest.

How to get there:

There are several flights between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap/Angkor every day, and the one-way fare is about US$45. The Phnom Penh Railway has lines to Bangkok, Thailand, and the southern seaside resort city of Sihanoukville.

There are many buses in the city, and you can also take a motorcycle taxi to visit Phnom Penh and nearby attractions.
