Longshan Park is a mountain park in the center of Ruian City. It was built in 1991. The park is dotted with lush trees, towering temples and towers, and pavilions. Longshan Tower, built in the Song Dynasty, has a history of more than 600 years and is a typical symbol of Ruian City. Longshan is named after the mountain in the middle rises and takes on the shape of a hump. Since ancient times, Yandun Mountain has been an important coastal defense place where troops were stationed and Yandun alarm was set up. According to legend, during the Jin Dynasty, a white deer stopped in front of the rock with flowers in its mouth. Longshan Zen Temple, hidden in the deep mountains and dense forests, is one of the largest Buddhist resorts in Ruian. The world has once praised "Longshan is always admired like a picture, and there are endless woodcutter songs, pastoral songs, and chariots." The total area of the park is 20.3 hectares. The main attractions include the north entrance gate imitating the Ming and Qing style, the Poetry and Stele Gallery, the Tea House, the Watchtower Pavilion, the Concept Pavilion and the May 9th Command Memorial Pavilion. Ruian has no severe cold or heat all year round, with short winters and long summers. The whole territory is located at a low latitude and is affected by the ocean, so the temperature conditions are the best in the province.
Suitable for travel all year round. However, because it is located in the typhoon zone from Wenzhou → Shantou, there are many typhoons in summer, so you should avoid this time period when traveling.
