1. Clipper cards can be used for free at MUNI ticket machines, and can also be used on BART, CalTrain, San Francisco Ferry, regional transportation systems outside San Francisco, and all MUNI transportation (tramways/subways) , buses and cable cars).

2. Renting a car is the best way to visit San Francisco and the Bay Area. To rent a car in California, you only need a domestic driver's license and passport to register a car rental. It is strongly recommended to book the car model and pick-up location online in advance.
