Introduction to the Palace of Fine Arts: The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco was built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific World's Fair. It is not only to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal, but also to reflect the new city appearance of San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. In 1962, the famous German architect Bernard Maybeck was specially invited to redesign it, turning it into the building that resembles the ruins of ancient Rome that we see now, visually showing a spectacular beauty.
