Shangrao Qianshan Hekou Ancient Town is one of the four ancient towns in Jiangxi. Historically, it was the "thorough of eight provinces" where merchants gathered. In the ancient streets of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which are full of history, the floors are long and row upon row, ancient and elegant; the ruts on the bluestone pavement record the heyday of the town. Nowadays, the place still retains the traces of the old prosperity and the simple style, which makes people recall the prosperity of that time when "goods gathered in Fujian, Sichuan and Guangzhou, people talked about Zhejiang and Huaiyang, boats moored at night, and lights lit up the shore".

Hekou Ancient Town is located in Qianshan County in the southwest of Shangrao, on the border of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi, and is built near the water. The ancient town now has a well-preserved 5-meter-long Ming and Qing ancient street. The street is represented by the century-old drugstore "Jinlihe" pharmacy, and there are a large number of attics, residential buildings and historic buildings. Opposite the ancient town, there is Jiushi Mountain, the "first gate of Longmen"; nearby is Ehu Academy, a national key cultural relics protection unit, which retains archways, head gates, lecture halls and other historic sites.
