Scenic spot introduction:

Baiyun Temple is located on Baiyun Mountain in Louqiao, Wenzhou. Baiyun Mountain has clouds and mist all year round, hence its name. The clouds gather and scatter on the mountain, and the mist is flying. The Baiyun Temple in the mountain is surrounded by green bamboo forests. It is known as "the depth of the temple is unknown". It was first built in the Jin Dynasty (AD 265-420). In the 33rd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1605), the "Wenzhou Prefecture Chronicle" compiled by Wang Guangyun, the governor of Heng Prefecture, a native of Yongjiachang, contains the name of Baiyun Temple. In the Qing Dynasty, the poet monk Zongxiang of Yongjia once visited Baiyun Temple to set up an altar to lecture. According to the "Reconstruction of Baiyun Temple Stele" in the temple, before liberation, the temple was dilapidated and dilapidated. The temple was overgrown with weeds, the Buddhist hall was empty, and it was desolate. In 1987, three 70-year-olds settled here. After five years of painstaking fundraising, the temple was rebuilt. Its architecture basically preserved the artistic style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with brick and wood structures, cornices and brackets, which are simple and solemn.
