Xinjiang Huoyan Mountain Desert Earth Art Museum is an art museum that integrates architecture, murals and sculptures, historical and cultural sites and natural landscapes, and organically combines ground landscapes with underground caves. The Desert Art Museum is located in the Five Hundred Arhats Valley in the hinterland of the Flaming Mountains. It has been a treasured place of Buddha's light since ancient times. The royal monastery of the ancient Gaochang Uighur Kingdom and the famous Buddhist site, the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, were excavated in this valley. The local ancient history and magnificent culture deeply touched the soul of the artist Zhang Wenge. Over the years, he left his wife and children, borrowed money from everywhere, and led his companions to finally build the Xinjiang Desert Native Art Museum after more than ten years, giving the lonely flame of the desert. The mountains add a pop of color. Today's art museum aims to be based on the local area, carry forward the past and open up the future, and promote national cultural traditions. It integrates collection, display, performance, research and other functions. It is the first private art museum in Xinjiang and a development and production base for Turpan tourist souvenirs.
Every year during the tourist season, the earthen art museum is bustling with traffic and tourists, including Tang Monk Hall, Karahe Zhuoyong Martial Hall, Silk Road Castle, Ten Thousand Buddhas Palace, Xiangba Art Store, a century-old house, the main sculpture of Sun Wukong, and folk art. Landscapes such as the Art Heritage Area and the Flame Mountain Ladder have become the best spots for people to take photos in the Flame Mountain Scenic Area, and have become one of the six tourist attractions as famous as Jiaohe Ancient City and Grape Valley.
