Bailongtan Scenic Area is located at the foot of the Yanshan Great Wall, 30 kilometers northeast of Miyun County, in Longtan Mountain. It has been worshiped since the Han Dynasty because of the saying that "the dragon can make clouds and rain", and its construction history has been thousands of years. Bailongtan is located in the canyon area of ​​the north and south mountains. It was called Shipen Valley in ancient times, also known as Longtan Valley. It has beautiful mountains and rivers, many peaks and strange rocks, overlapping ponds and brocades, and the slopes are covered with pines and cypresses. Emperor Qianlong once sent officials to worship the dragon and pray for rain for the people to visit the lake in person, thus forming a tradition of worshiping the dragon every February and August.
