Scenic spot introduction:

The Shichahai Scenic Area has been a prosperous commercial district of the capital city since the Yuan Dynasty. There are many places of interest and historical sites along the coast, and a large amount of old Beijing's folk culture and traditional scenery has been preserved to this day. In ancient times, it was listed as one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Yanjing" with the name "Viewing the Mountain from the Silver Ingot". Today, Shichahai is compatible with classic and modern, traditional and avant-garde, and natural landscapes and cultural sites complement each other. It is considered to be the most romantic and sexiest tourist destination in Beijing.

Shichahai, also known as Shichahai, Shihanhai or Shibanhai, has been a prosperous commercial district of the capital since the Yuan Dynasty. Shichahai Scenic Area is located in the northwest of the central axis of Beijing, including Qianhai, Houhai and Xihai and their surrounding areas with an area of 146.7 hectares. It starts from the north side of Di'anmen Outer Street in the east; from Di'anmen West Street in the south to Longtoujing in the west, and connects to Liuyin Street, Yangfang Hutong, Xinjiekou East Street to Xinjiekou North Street in the northwest; from Xinjiekou North Street in the west to Xinjiekou Gap in the north; from Xinjiekou Gap in the north to Deshengmen in the east, and from Deshengmen along Gulou West Street to the Bell and Drum Tower. The water surface of the three seas in the scenic area is 33.6 hectares (about 23% of the total area). In the surrounding area, there were more than 30 palaces, temples, nunneries, etc. in history, and more than 10 of them are still in existence. There are more than 40 cultural relics protection units.

Drive along Di'anmen West Street and turn right into Sanqiao Hutong; Drive along Sanqiao Hutong for 260 meters and turn left into Qianhai West Street; Drive along Qianhai West Street for 210 meters and turn slightly right into Liuyin Street; Drive along Liuyin Street for 280 meters, pass the former site of the Catholic Priests College on the right about 280 meters, turn left in front and enter Yangfang Hutong; Drive along Yangfang Hutong for 200 meters, turn right and drive 20 meters to reach Shichahai.
