The ancient village of Tangmo in Qiankou Town, Huizhou District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province was first built in the Tang Dynasty and was originally called Tan Gan. After development in the Song and Yuan dynasties, it gradually became prosperous in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Cheng, Wang, Wu, and Xu are the major surnames in the village.The total area of Tangmo Scenic Area is 40,000 square kilometers. The main features of the scenic area are Hui-style water mouth gardens and water town scenery. It has a beautiful natural environment and profound Hui culture. It still preserves a relatively complete spatial pattern and historical style of the ancient village. It is famous for its luxuriant thousand-year-old ginkgo, the filial piety of building the "West Lake", the beauty of the flowing water in Zhongjie Street, the beauty of the "Ten Bridges and Nine Appearances", the elegance of famous inscriptions, and the reputation of fellow Hanlin. How to get there:
Self-driving: The scenic area is 5 kilometers away from the entrance of Hetonghuang Expressway, 10 kilometers away from the Shexian entrance of Huihang Expressway, and the Chengkan-Shexian tourist highway leads to Tangmo Village.
By car: You can take a taxi from Huangshan (Tunxi) or She County to Tangmo, with prices ranging from 30.00 yuan to 20.00 yuan.
