The former site of the Nanjing Inspirational Society was a military organization during the Kuomintang period, targeting Huangpu soldiers, with the purpose of inspiring the "revolutionary spirit" and cultivating "the most loyal party members, brave believers" and "model soldiers" who believe in the Three People's Principles - the Inspirational Society. location. The main tasks of the Inspired Society are to receive foreign military and political dignitaries, and to be responsible for cultural, educational, entertainment, welfare and other matters related to the National Revolutionary Army and Chiang Kai-shek's personal affairs. The most famous event at the old site was the trial of Hisao Tani, a Japanese war criminal who invaded China and the culprit of the Nanjing Massacre, and others.

The former site of Zhishushe is located at No. 307, Zhongshan East Road, which is now Zhongshan Hotel. The old site contains three buildings imitating the palace style of the Qing Dynasty, namely the auditorium, Building No. 1, and Building No. 3, all of which are red bricks with green roofs. There is a square stone tablet in the southeast corner of Building No. 1, with Chiang Kai-shek's own handwriting on it.
