Shouning Xipu Village is an ancient village in southern Fujian with rich historical and cultural heritage and rich Jiangnan water town characteristics. It has the reputation of "Covered Bridge Water Town and the Hometown of the Number One Scholar". The ancient village is located at the foot of Jinzhong Mountain, more than ten kilometers southeast of Shouning County, on both sides of the Xixi River. Xipu Village is a blood-related village where the Miao family lives together. Its ancestor Miao You lived in Kuaiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). To avoid the war, his great-grandsons Miao Lu, Miao Tong and Miao Qian moved south and scattered in Ou and Fujian. The first migration was when Miao Lu moved to Huoyang (now Xixi Village, Shouning), Changxi (now Xiapu), Fujian Province in the first year of Guangming (880) of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty. It has been reproduced for more than 40 generations. Because of his ancestral home in Kuaiji, Miao Lu named him "Xi Ji" to show that he never forgot his origins. Because "Ji" and "Xi" are homophonic, it was later renamed "Xi Xi". After several generations, Miao Lu migrated for the second time. Arriving at Xia Donggao in Xixi Village; Miao Wenhuan, the seventh generation ancestor of the Miao family, moved for the third time due to the fire (fire).
