Introduction to the side view waterfall: The river cascades down from the steep wall of Mount Auyan Tepui on the Guyana Plateau, with a drop of 979 meters, which is about 18 times the height of Niagara Falls. The waterfall is divided into two levels. It first falls 807 meters and falls on a ledge, and then falls 172 meters and falls in a large pool 152 meters wide at the foot of the mountain.
