Introduction to the Statue of Sun Yat-sen: The Statue of Sun Yat-sen is located due north of the "Guardian of Peace Square". The bronze statue is 3.4 meters high and weighs 1.8 tons: the base is 1.6 meters high and is covered with black marble. Comrade Deng Xiaoping's writings are engraved on the front. The gilt inscription "Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the great revolutionary forerunner, will live forever" is gilded; the bronze statue shows Sun Yat-sen standing in a majestic and lifelike manner, which vividly reflects Mr. Sun Yat-sen's leadership style as a great democratic revolutionary.
