Introduction to stone lions: The stone lions are located on both sides of the Nantan Gate, opposite the Xili Pavilion. The two stone lions weigh more than 8,800 kilograms. They are squatting style, standing tall and handsome. They were the guardian envoys of Daming Town, Hebei Province in 1918. Wang Huaiqing and commander Li Jieping donated. During the "Cultural Revolution" in 1966, in order to protect the stone lions, park employees dug holes and buried them on the spot. It was not until 1971 that they were dug out and placed outside the Nantan Gate for tourists to watch.
