Introduction to Zhongshan Hall: Zhongshan Hall is located in the north of the altar. It is the worship hall of the Sheji Altar. It is an important building on the central axis of the Sheji Altar. It has 5 rooms in width and 3 rooms in depth. It has a mountain-shaped yellow glazed tile roof and is decorated with golden dragons. Seal color painting. The platform base is 0.87 meters high and has a construction area of 950.40 square meters. It is the place where the emperor saluted in the wind and rain on the day of sacrifice.
In 1925, Dr. Sun Yat-sen had his funeral here after his death, so it was changed to Zhongshan Hall. Every year on March 12 and November 12, people from all walks of life in the capital hold grand celebrations for Sun Yat-sen’s birthday and death here.
