Introduction to Songhe Zhai: Songhe Zhai is located on the east side of the main hall of the Summer Resort and was built in the 14th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1749). At that time, "green pines were outside and white cranes were dancing in front of the court." Emperor Qianlong named it with the meaning of pines and cranes prolonging life and made it the third scene of "Thirty-six Scenes of Qianlong". This group of buildings includes the Gate Hall, Songhezhai (later renamed Hanhuitang), Suicheng Hall (later renamed Jide Hall), Seventeen Rooms, Leshou Hall (later renamed Yuexingju), Chang Yuanlou and others.
