Introduction to the Ancient Palace of Sigiriya: Sigiriya, located on the Sigiriya Peak in central Sri Lanka, is a famous ancient castle site in Sri Lanka. There is a Qingliang Hall in the palace, which diverts spring water under the floor to cool off the heat; there is the Queen's Royal Garden; there is a Dharma Cliff with layers of platforms for monks to preach. The cliff is surrounded by 100 small niches. There are hundreds of murals in the palace, depicting Kashyapa I's concubines, goddesses, etc., flying into the sky and scattering flowers in beautiful shapes. A huge seated lion statue was built with bricks and stones on the hillside of Sigiriya for the purpose of suppressing demons. Today, only two front paws about one or two meters in size are left. A long corridor was built from the foot of the mountain to the mountainside. The corridor surrounding the mountain on the west leads directly to the stone wall painted with colorful murals.
