Introduction to the Patriarch Pagoda: The Patriarch Pagoda is located on the south side of the East Hall. It is the first Zen Master Pagoda built in Foguang Temple during the period of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The tower is about 8 meters high and made of blue bricks. The tower body is double-layered and hexagonal, with a door opening on the west side. The Patriarch's Pagoda has a unique shape, with carved windows on the tower body, and a bowl, lotus petals and orbs at the bottom. It is the only physical object that has been completely preserved in Foguang Temple since its establishment.
