Introduction to Xue Lingzhi's Reading Office: During the Liang Tianjian period of the Southern Dynasty (502-519), Xue He, the official of Guanglu, moved from the south of the Yangtze River to Fujian and settled in Shijilu. His sixth-generation grandson Xue Lingzhi studied diligently and finally became the first Jinshi in Fujian in the second year of Shenlong in the Tang Dynasty (706). Later, he was awarded the rank of Zuo Buque and the prince's minister.
