Introduction to Wei Guoqing: Wei Guoqing (September 2, 1913 - June 14, 1989) was an outstanding political leader of the Communist Party of China and a famous military strategist. In 1928, 15-year-old Wei Guoqing joined the revolution and participated in the Baise Uprising led by Deng Xiaoping, Zhang Yunyi and Wei Baqun the following year. In 1930, he went north to Jiangxi with the main force of the Seventh Red Army, and then followed the Central Red Army on the world-famous 25,000-mile Long March. He repeatedly made extraordinary achievements in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation.
