Introduction to the power plant building: The Xinfengjiang Hydropower Station project is a large-scale hydropower project designed, constructed and installed by my country itself. It is equipped with 4 domestically produced units and has a total installed capacity of 335,000 kilowatts. The project officially started on July 15, 1958, and the first unit was connected to the grid to generate electricity on October 25, 1960. The civil engineering project was completed in 1962, setting a record for the fastest construction speed and shortest construction period of similar hydropower projects in China at that time. Subsequently, the other three units were put into operation in 1961, 1966 and 1976 respectively.
