Introduction to Hu’s Ancestral Hall: Hu’s Ancestral Hall is located in Zhonghe Market Town, on the hillside to the north and facing the tributary of Nanchuan River in the front. The ancestral hall was built in the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1882). It faces east and faces west. It is five rooms wide and three rooms deep. It has a volcanic wall, small green tiles, a hard top and three gates in front. During the Republic of China, the Hu family opened a primary school in the ancestral hall, and Comrade Hu Yaobang, the former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, studied here. In 2000, descendants of the Hu family renovated it. The original rammed earth walls were demolished and replaced with small green bricks and mortar. There is a built-in bluestone stele, which is called "Record of the New Clan Ancestral Temple in Kongjiaping", in regular script, with a total of more than 700 words, recording the history of building the temple and the name and date of the person who wrote the stele.
