Introduction to the Five Ancestor Pagoda: The Pagoda of Zen Master Daman of the Five Ancestor Temple is the Five Ancestor Pagoda. It is located on the hillside in the backyard of the Five Ancestor Temple. Go all the way north from the True Body Hall and pass through the Tongtian Road shaded by bamboo forests to reach the pagoda courtyard. The pagoda was built in the 21st year of the Republic of China, that is, 1932, as the stupa of the fifth ancestor Hongren. After the death of the Fifth Patriarch Hongren, he was given the posthumous title of "Daman Zen Master" in the Tang Dynasty. His true body has been kept in the Fayu Pagoda in the True Body Hall of the Fifth Patriarch Temple. Later, his true body was destroyed in the 16th year of the Republic of China. After cremation, some of the relics were buried under the tower.
