Introduction to the Mingchang Bell: There is an ancient iron-cast bell from the Mingchang period of the Jin Dynasty hanging in the pavilion, so it is called the Mingchang Bell. It has been more than 800 years ago. The bell is 2.4 meters high, has a diameter of 1.8 meters and weighs about 8 tons. It is cast with Bagua patterns and has a dragon-shaped bell button on the top. According to local historical records of Jinan, this bell was originally on the bell tower of Kaiyuan Temple in the city, and was later abandoned in an old alley in the north of the city. It was eroded by wind and rain for decades, but fortunately it remained intact. After the Mingchang Bell Pavilion was built, the Mingchang Bell was moved to the pavilion and hung on the pavilion with a couplet written by Professor Xu Beiwen: "Where the golden bell rings, the sound of frogs is quiet, and when the bright moon rises, the guests' dreams are clear." Next to the pavilion stands a stone tablet "Mingchang Zhongting Ji", written by Xu Beiwen and written by Lei Guyi.
