Introduction to Zheng Wengong's Stepping Down the Stele: "Zheng Wengong's Stepping Down the Stele" is the representative work of Zheng Daozhao, a great calligrapher of the Northern Wei Dynasty. This was written by Zheng Daozhao in memory of his father Zheng Xi in the fourth year of Yongping in the Northern Wei Dynasty (511 AD) when he was the governor of Guangzhou (now Laizhou). It has a history of more than 1,490 years. The stele is 3 meters high and more than 4 meters wide. Due to the solid quality of the stone and excellent carving, there are 1,236 characters in the entire stele. Except for a few damaged characters, the rest are well preserved. His calligraphy is rigorous and profound, strong and beautiful, and can be called a treasure of ancient Chinese calligraphy art.
