Introduction to the April 25th Bridge: The April 25th Bridge across the Tejo River was completed in 1966. With a total length of 2278 meters, it is the third longest cable-stayed bridge in the world. The bridge was originally named after the then dictator Salazar and was called the Salazar Bridge. Later, Portugal overthrew Salazar's dictatorship on April 25, 1974, which was known as the "Carnation Revolution" in history. To commemorate this historical moment, the bridge was renamed the "April 25th Bridge". It is said that every town in Portugal will have a street called April 25 to commemorate it.
