Introduction to the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest: Ji Kang, Ruan Ji, Shan Tao, Xiang Xiu, Liu Ling, Wang Rong and Ruan Xian during the Eastern Jin Dynasty of China. Most of them "abandoned the classics in favor of Laozi and Zhuangzhuang, despised etiquette and worshiped liberalism", and were known to the world as the Seven Sages in the Bamboo Grove. This group of stone sculptures in Yeshan Garden vividly reproduces the demeanor of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove.
