Introduction to Mei Gang and Plum Gallery: During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Mei Gang and the Plum Grove at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain were the two major plum viewing spots in the eastern and southern suburbs of Nanjing. In 1999, Mei Gang was rebuilt in Yuhuatai Scenic Area, which consists of four parts: "Visiting Plum Pavilion", "Plum Blossom Pavilion", "Hanxiang Pavilion" and "Curving Corridor". The winding and deep promenade complements the surrounding thousands of plum trees. Chengqu has become an important place for plum blossom appreciation in Nanjing and an important branch venue of the Nanjing International Plum Blossom Festival in China.
