Introduction to Nanyang Ancient Town: Nanyang Ancient Town is an isolated island formed by Weishan Lake and the canal. In the second year of Zhishun of the Yuan Dynasty (1331), the Nanyang Gate was built here and the town began to be built. In the first year of Longqing in the Ming Dynasty (1567), the new canal for water transportation was completed, and Nanyang became a dock for transporting goods. After the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Nanyang "fishing boats, wine boats, merchant ships, and rice noodle boats came and went, and they gathered together like a market with eaves and canopies."
