Introduction to St. George's Church: St. George`s Church is located on FARQUHAR Street east of Fort Cornwallis. It is the oldest British church in Malaysia. This stately, majestic church has symmetrical architectural proportions, with marble floors and a high spire. It was also established in 1818 by convicts instructed by the British colonial government. There is a memorial canopy at the entrance to commemorate the scene when Wright first arrived in Penang.
